"The Spirit of Canadian Baseball" Featured on the Canadian Baseball Network

I am thrilled to share the exciting news that my book, “The Spirit of Canadian Baseball,” was recently showcased on the prestigious Canadian Baseball Network, founded by the esteemed Bob Elliott. Bob, a Kingston, Ont. native, has an illustrious career covering both the Montreal Expos (1978-1986) and the Toronto Blue Jays (1987-2016). His remarkable contributions to baseball journalism were recognized with the J.G. Taylor Spink award in 2012, now known as the BBWAA Career Excellence Award since 2021.

Bob Elliott’s dedication to the sport has been further honored with inductions into five Halls of Fame, including the Ottawa-Nepean Canadians inaugural class, the Okotoks Dawgs inaugural class, the Kingston and District Sports Hall of Fame, the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in St. Marys, and the Baseball Ontario Hall of Fame. His outstanding career achievements have been celebrated with numerous awards, such as the career achievement award by Sports Media Canada in 2008, the Jack Graney award from the Canadian Hall of Fame in 2011, the OBA President’s Award in 2012, and the prestigious Brian Williams Award by the Ontario Sports Hall of Fame in 2016.

I am deeply grateful to Bob Elliott and the Canadian Baseball Network for featuring “The Spirit of Canadian Baseball” and for providing a platform to share stories that celebrate the essence of baseball in Canada. This recognition motivates me to continue sharing my passion for the game and contributing to its rich history.

As we commemorate this milestone, I extend my heartfelt thanks to Bob Elliott for his invaluable contributions to the baseball community and for his unwavering support. Together, we honor the spirit of Canadian baseball and the stories that connect us through the love of the game.
